Because divulging your life onto the web is the thing to do with no possible negative repercussions, the story of how Dylan Sloboda and Alison Robertson met is thus:

Mermaids and pirates aren't allowed in civilized society. So Ali and Dylan attended normal school where they were taught to be uninspired semi-productive members of society.

Ali was a mermaid who happily relaxed with her catfish. While she loves her catfish, she sought the companionship of another. The other mermaids said she should find her prince charming, but the ones she found were anything but. Then one day she met a salty blue haired pirate at the school. They asked their mutual friends "who was that blue haired pirate?" and "who is the sassy little mermaid?" Eventually they learned each other's names and began spending their time lounging and sharing their dreams of adventure in the sea.

As they got older, they continued their education and attempted to be the charming prince and delicate princess in a castle that civil society told them they had to be. However after years they came to realize civilized society can be too dark for even those uninspired aspirations.

So one day Ali turned to Dylan and said "F# shoes! I'm going to be a mermaid." and she kicked off her legs and put on her mermaid tail. Her two cats got off their perches, chomped things and began to circle as they got hungry. They were determined to be sharks. Seeing this, Dylan said to Ali "You know what? I'm a pirate and you are the only treasure I need."
