Bride

Emily started her first real job as a dishwasher to save for her freshman year of college. Scott heard there was a cute little blonde girl coming to the DoubleTree hotel, where he was a cook. He thought he was doomed to fall in love with her.

Scott greeted Emily the first time and was relieved she was not as devastatingly gorgeous as he had imagined. Emily did not even remember the interaction. A few weeks into the job, their mutual friend, Debbi, asked if Emily knew Scott. She said, "Is that the guy who always looks kind of out of it?"

One day, Scott, Emily, and Debbi were plating food together. They began to debate how to pronounce the plural of fungus, and when Debbi supported Scott, Emily said angrily, "Well he's not a scientist!" Scott told the other cooks how mean Emily was.

Emily decided to stalk Scott on Facebook and add him as a friend, for reasons she does not understand to this day. They began talking and formed a friendship.

When Emily left for college, Scott drove 600 miles every month, sometimes every week, to see her. During the summers, they went on many dates. Finally, after two years and much anticipation, Scott proposed.
