On August 2, 2018 while in Cozumel, Mexico, after dinner that night we went for walk along the beach. It was dark and quiet. As we began to walk along the beach, Brian got down on one knee and asked Kayla to marry him.  She said yes, followed by a kiss.  Right after that, fireworks started to go off across the beach. Brian attempted to play it off as planed, but it was just meant to be.
