We had already planned and booked the wedding before Jarrod had officially proposed. 

He had Kristine believing the ring wouldn't be here in time to surprise some of our family at Christmas. Little did she know it was here weeks before the holiday. Jarrod had help from his mom, Darlene with the proposal. She wrapped the box and Kristine opened it last. When she got to the ring box there was nothing inside. That's when she turned to Jarrod and he got on one knee with the ring to propose and present the ring.
