Welcome

Welcome aboard the Carnival Magic but more importantly, thank you for not only being here to share the very special occasion of our wedding but also our 8 day celebration cruise! Long before we got engaged, we had discussed having a cruise wedding. We are so thankful that so many of you are joining us for our wedding. We can’t thank you enough for the huge commitment you made to be here and share this special time with us. We’re looking forward to having an amazing week with the most special people in our lives!

When the time comes, I will let everyone know our flight information.  I am working on blocking off some rooms in Fort Lauderdale for the group, if anyone is interested.  We will be heading to Florida a couple of days before the cruise.  I HIGHLY recommend anyone flying to travel AT LEAST the day prior to the cruise.  If anywhere in the country experiences a winter storm, all flights can be impacted so it's wise to leave yourself some wiggle room.

Important Port Information:

When we’re in a port, it is very important to return to the ship at least one hour prior to the departure time.  Departure time reflects the time that the ship will leave the port of call.  If you miss the departure time, you will be responsible for finding your own way to the next port or back home.  Many of the ports have a different local time zone and it’s best to set your watch to the ship’s time.  All cruise information is in ship time.  Sean and I actually saw a couple left behind, as they watched their ship sail away without them!  You are responsible for getting to the next port or back home, if you miss the ship!

**Before we set sail, make sure to download the Carnival Hub**  Once onboard, you will switch your phone to airplane mode, then you can always be on ship time, access your photos and view ship activities.

Cell Phone Tip:  Remember that your cell phone may pick up roaming charges once we leave the states, unless you have an international plan.

Cash:  Cruising is a cashless experience.  Be sure to safeguard your key card as it is used to charge your purchases to your cabin.

Excursions:  If you have not booked any excursions prior to sailing and would like to do so, be sure to visit the Excursions desk to check out their offerings.  I highly suggest checking booking these in advance.  You will see them on Carnival's website when you pre-register for the cruise.

To keep track of your spending, you may check your balance at the purser’s desk and get a print out of your charges or use the Carnival Hub app.

Disembarking:  You may carry your own luggage off the ship for self-disembarking which is usually as soon as the ship docks.  You may also disembark at a time given to you by the cruise ship.  If you choose this method, please be sure to place your checked bags outside of your door the night before.  Details will be available in the Carnival Capers newsletter.
